Introduction

At Rainbow Care&Coaching, we are committed to providing a safe, professional, and nurturing environment for both our employees and the families we serve. This Code of Conduct outlines the ethical standards, legal responsibilities, and behavioral expectations that all team members must uphold. It aligns with applicable Dutch labor, privacy, and care legislation, including the GDPR (AVG), WGBO, and Wkkgz.

1. Professionalism

Employees are expected to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, treating clients, colleagues, and stakeholders with respect, honesty, and courtesy at all times

2. Confidentiality

All client and organizational information must be handled with strict confidentiality. Employees must comply with the Algemene Verordening Gegevensbescherming (AVG/GDPR) and, where applicable, the Wet op de geneeskundige behandelingsovereenkomst (WGBO). Disclosure of confidential information to unauthorized parties is strictly prohibited.

3. Team Collaboration

Employees are expected to work collaboratively, support colleagues, and contribute to a positive, inclusive, and respectful work environment.

4. Ethical Practices

All actions must comply with relevant laws, internal policies, and ethical care standards. Unethical conduct such as dishonesty, discrimination, or fraud will not be tolerated.

5. Conflict of Interest

Employees must avoid any conflict between personal and professional interests. Examples include accepting gifts from client families, using company resources for private profit, or engaging in outside business that interferes with job duties. All potential conflicts must be reported to management.

6. Continuous Professional Development

Rainbow encourages ongoing training and education. Employees are expected to stay current in their fields to enhance both individual performance and the quality of care.

7. Use of Organization Resources

All organizational resources—including equipment, time, and materials—must be used responsibly and solely for work purposes. Misuse or unauthorized use is strictly forbidden.

8. Outside Employment or Advice

Employees must disclose all external employment to management. Rainbow reserves the right to restrict such activities if they conflict with care duties, breach confidentiality, or compromise wellbeing and performance, in accordance with Dutch labor law (BW 7:611).

9. Reporting Violations

Employees are expected to promptly report suspected violations of this Code to management or the Klachtenfunctionaris. Reports will be handled confidentially and without retaliation. Incident reporting follows Wkkgz standards.

10. Disciplinary Measures

Violations of this Code may result in disciplinary action, including verbal warnings, suspension, or termination, depending on the severity and nature of the breach. All actions will comply with Dutch labor legislation.

11. Safeguarding and Client Interaction

Employees must maintain professional boundaries and uphold the highest standards of child protection. Any form of physical, emotional, or psychological abuse or neglect is strictly forbidden and must be reported immediately. Staff are required to follow Rainbow’s safeguarding policies.

12. Review and Updates

This Code is reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in legal, ethical, or organizational standards. Employees are responsible for familiarizing themselves with the latest version.
