Enrollment – Rainbow Care and Coaching in Netherlands

At Rainbow Care&Coaching, we are committed to providing a safe, structured, and nurturing environment where every child has the opportunity to grow and thrive. To ensure the well-being of all children and the effectiveness of our program, we apply a clear set of exclusion criteria and begin every new placement with a structured trial period.

Exclusion Criteria & Group Fit

While we welcome neurodiverse children with a range of developmental needs, certain criteria may make a child unsuitable for our group-based program. These guidelines help ensure the safety of all children and the sustainability of our therapeutic setting.

a. Medical Care Beyond Our Scope

We are not equipped to support children who require:

Intensive medical interventions or complex procedures
Continuous medical supervision or ventilator support
Medication administration during sessions (this must be managed by parents or external providers)

b. Behavioral Challenges That Pose Safety Risks

We may not be able to accommodate children who:

Exhibit frequent aggressive behavior (e.g., hitting, biting, self-injury)
Have uncontrolled outbursts that endanger themselves or others
Regularly elope or run away from supervision
Forcefully engage with peers in a way that compromises safety
Have severe hyperactivity that disrupts group functioning
Require ongoing one-on-one supervision in group setting beyond our staffing capacity

c. Medical Conditions That Affect Group Safety

Contagious or communicable diseases that could affect others
Severely compromised immune systems (evaluated on a case-by-case basis)

If any of these criteria apply, we may not be able to proceed with enrollment or may need to discontinue participation. In such cases, we will work closely with the family to suggest alternative options better suited to the child’s needs.

Trial Period

Every child who begins at Rainbow Care&Coaching starts with a 6–8 week trial period. This trial period allows us to carefully assess the child’s:

Ability to participate in both individual and group sessions
Interaction with peers and staff
Response to daily structure and therapeutic approaches

At the end of this period:

- If the program is a good fit, we’ll create a personalized development plan and begin long-term care.
- If the group setting isn’t suitable, we will provide feedback and referrals to help you find a more appropriate setting.

Important Note

These criteria are not just guidelines—they are part of the official Terms & Conditions and Client Agreement signed during enrollment. By registering for services at Rainbow Care&Coaching, parents or legal guardians confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms.

In situations where exclusion criteria are met, Rainbow Care&Coaching reserves the right to suspend or terminate services at any time, in accordance with our duty to safeguard all children and staff within our care environment.
